Job Description

The opportunity

We are seeking to hire a seasoned Director of Product Management to lead and own our Application Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture knowledge management product.

As a key member of the Global Enterprise Architecture group, the Enterprise Architecture Product Owner will lead the development of Enterprise Architecture Knowledge management into a product, which will provide value to a wide range of management processes at Global and Segment level.

In this role, the Enterprise Architecture Product Owner will work closely with segment-level Enterprise Architects, IT Strategy teams, Enterprise Technology Services, Global Data Office and Enterprise Risk and Compliance teams to understand their information needs, and to propose and implement features in the Enterprise Architecture product to meet these needs.

This strategic role requires a leader with deep expertise in enterprise architecture and a proven track record in application portfolio management. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and efficiency at a global scale, ensuring our products meet the needs of a high-performing team.

Work Location: 200 Bloor St East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Work arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home); Fully remote cannot be accommodated due to role, responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and execute product strategy for Application Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture, articulating a clear vision that delivers value to users and stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver product enhancements and new features, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and strategic objectives. Serve as the primary liaison between development teams and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and understanding.

  • Product Lifecycle and Backlog Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to deployment, integrating with overall business technology architecture. Manage, prioritize, and continuously improve the product backlog, ensuring it reflects customer needs and business priorities.

  • Financial and Time Management: Manage product budgets, forecasts, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of product initiatives. Participate in iterative planning processes, such as sprint planning, to efficiently allocate resources and define project scopes.

  • Quality Assurance and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the final authority for accepting or rejecting deliverables based on predefined criteria, ensuring that all features meet quality standards and fulfill requirements. Provide direction, clarification, and context to the development team throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Advocacy and Improvement: Serve as a key spokesperson for product initiatives at executive briefings, external events, and in interactions with key partners. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying opportunities to enhance the product and development processes.

Mandatory Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing enterprise-level products.

  • Strong foundational knowledge in Enterprise Architecture and Application Portfolio Management.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading global teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience in a high-performing, global team environment.

  • Proficiency with modern product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

  • Experience with digital transformation projects and integrating new technologies into existing systems.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Salary range is expected to be between

$107,730.00 CAD - $200,070.00 CAD
