The Director of Procurement at V2X will lead procurement operations, supplier management, and strategic sourcing while supporting program execution, demand forecasting, and long-term planning. This role ensures the cost-effective, timely, and compliant acquisition of materials while addressing the complexities of aerospace supply chains and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Design and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, operational efficiency, and supplier performance.
  • Program Support: Collaborate with program teams to align procurement activities with program goals, timelines, and budgets. Provide procurement insights to support program planning and execution.
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning: Leverage tools to predict demand accurately, mitigate risks from supply chain disruptions, and ensure readiness for various out-of-production aircraft to ensure timely maintenance.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with aerospace standards. Build contingency plans for critical suppliers to address consolidation risks.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations for favorable terms while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., FAR/DFAR).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with federal regulations and internal policies.
  • ERP Systems & Process Improvement: Utilize ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, legal, and supply chain teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Digital Transformation: Implement digital tools for procurement automation, spend visibility, and enhanced decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles within aerospace or defense industries.
  • Expertise in federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR) and Contractor Procurement System Review (CPSR).
  • Strong forecasting skills with experience in demand planning tools or AI-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ARIBA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPSM, PMP).
  • Experience supporting program management activities within aerospace manufacturing or defense systems.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.

  • The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
  • The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
    • USD $ 145,000 - $180,000
  • Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
