Are you a visionary leader, who as our first Director of Place, can shape the future of our communities and improve the lives of all our residents?
This highly influential new role brings together responsibility for our key levers of planning, communities, wellbeing and the economy.
Collaborating with our communities, partners and stakeholders, you will need to integrate our approach to ensure the challenges faced by both rural and urban communities are supported strategically and ensure focus on the needs and opportunities specific to each place.
You will also lead the development of our new Joint Local Plan, paving the way for sustainable housing growth, employment, infrastructure and thriving communities over the next 20 years and beyond.
You will translate political objectives and priorities into initiatives that create thriving, resilient communities and a sustainable economy, while delivering improved life outcomes across our districts.

Working together across our councils and with our partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors, we serve around 200,000 residents across Babergh and Mid Suffolk.
