This is a remote position however you will be responsible for extensive travel with frequent practice visits within Northern British Columbia area approximately 3 to 4 days a week. Reporting into the Vice President, Operations, the Director of Operations will be responsible for supporting the ambitions of our valued Partners throughout the province by delivering our expertise in key business areas resulting in optimal patient care and creation of value for our stakeholders. In this role, you will

  • You will be the primary relationship manager and support contact to an assigned practice network and will oversee up to 15 practice locations and lead a team of Regional Managers
  • Identify opportunities to optimize practices driving service excellence and growth, accountable for annual targets
  • Develop and implement action plans for each dental practice
  • Identify and implement operating efficiencies and opportunities that optimize patient care & experience, grow revenues and profitability, drive engagement for practice level staff and ensure practices are physically maintained to set standards
  • Identify opportunities to foster relationships and synergies across assigned practice network
  • Identify opportunities and step in as necessary to improve the partnership between Practice Community and Support Centre to ensure service excellence
  • Facilitate and support opportunities to assist practices and drive goals through Support Centre SMEs (e.g. central operations team) through the execution and/or implementation of new programs
  • Mentor, develop, and lead a team of Regional and Practice Managers

What we're looking for

  • University or College Diploma in retail, business or office administration or related experience
  • Growth-inspired, attention to detail focused leader with three to five years experience in multi-unit Dental Practice Management or Healthcare related Industry experience
  • Strong business insight and extensive experience in managing P&L, forecasting and budgeting
  • Proven ability to drive sustainable, measurable, and profitable growth through rigour around financial and operating KPIs and metrics
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships across diverse groups and levels
  • Proven ability to execute large-scale projects involving numerous stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Must have drivers license and a vehicle with strong willingness to travel ( overnight stays will be required)

Salary Range: The base annual salary range is $140,000 to 150,000 (plus a bonus of up to 25% and competitive total rewards and benefits package). Salary is determined based on the candidate’s work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
