Director of Information Security - Canada | Remote

As the Director of Information Security, you’ll have an immense impact on Ada as we continue to grow our company and our technology. Reporting to Ada’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, you will be integral in building a scalable, efficient, and robust foundation for all of Ada’s products and services as part of our broader product development team. Your work will establish trust and privacy as key marketable capabilities of our AI Agent for customer service.

About You

• CISSP, CISM, CCP, CIPP, CASP+, CCSP and/or other designations
• 5+ years of experience in Security, Privacy and/or Compliance
• Recent relevant tactical experience, not just administration and strategy. 
• Experience within a software business
• Previous experience leading a team of Security Operations Managers and /or Specialists 
• Nice to have: 
  
  • Previous experience in a startup SaaS company 
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for Generative AI

Outcomes

• Develop a strategy and roadmap that helps Ada lead with best-in-class trust capabilities by combining and prioritizing investments in security, privacy, governance and compliance.
• Provide world-class client-facing security, privacy and compliance support to our customers and GTM teams.
• Develop a compliance strategy and annual roadmap while driving the organization to always be improving in accordance with our core values.
• Serve as a key stakeholder assessing risk for Ada; create and lead Ada’s Internal Risk Assessment Committee; serve as Ada’s Data Protection Officer.
• Identify needs, assess, select, and manage external vendors to meet objectives, and use influence to advocate continuously improving information security practices across Ada.
• Lead a small team of analysts and compliance efforts who will support you in your mandate.

The expected salary range for this position is $230,000 to $255,000 CAD. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
