JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Food & Beverage for a multi-unit franchisor oversees the development, implementation, and management of all food and beverage strategies across corporate owned & franchise locations. This role focuses on ensuring consistency, quality, and profitability while aligning with brand standards. The Director serves as a key liaison for corporate teams and franchisees, driving operational excellence, cost control, and customer satisfaction across multiple units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive food and beverage strategy to align with business goals and needs.
Oversee menu innovation, product development, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
Ensure alignment of food and beverage programs with brand identity and customer expectations.
Operations Support and Collaboration:
Partner with operations to ensure compliance with corporate food and beverage standards.
Provide operational guidance, training, and best practices to franchisees to optimize food and beverage performance.
Act as a bridge between the corporate office and parks to address challenges and implement solutions.
Operations Management:
Establish and enforce food safety, sanitation, and operational standards across all locations.
Conduct regular audits of franchise locations to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
Monitor supply chain efficiency for food and beverage procurement and distribution across units.
Financial Performance:
Analyze food and beverage costs, sales data, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Work with operations to develop cost-control initiatives while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as food cost percentage, labor cost, and revenue per unit.
Menu Development and Innovation:
Lead efforts to create new menu offerings based on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis.
Test and roll out new products, ensuring parks have the tools and training for successful implementation.
Maintain consistency in menu execution and branding across all locations.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with food and beverage suppliers.
Ensure timely procurement and distribution of ingredients, packaging, and other supplies.
Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes and reduce costs.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a high-performing food and beverage team to support corporate owned & franchisees effectively.
Provide training programs and resources to ensure operational excellence at all levels.
Foster a collaborative and service-oriented culture among corporate and franchisee teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
8–12 years of food and beverage management experience, with at least 5 years in a multi-unit or franchising environment.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, operational standards, and cost management practices.
Experience with menu development, product innovation, and supply chain management.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence franchisees and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance and make data-driven decisions.
Flexibility to travel frequently to franchise locations as needed.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to remain stationary at a desk for extended periods of time while working on a computer, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation range is $125-$140k/yr based on qualifications and experience. Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching. Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
