Director of Compliance

Overview
The Director of Compliance will be responsible for managing trade compliance teams and the development and oversight of global trade compliance programs and policies for Rain Bird’s global business.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance-related policies and programs
- Conduct risk assessments and advise senior management on potential compliance risks and solutions
- Oversee and manage the tracking of compliance requirements and ensure reporting requirements are in accordance with applicable regulations
- Develop and implement tools to track compliance with existing policies and programs
- Monitor and analyze regulatory updates from government agencies and determine the potential impact to the Company’s compliance programs and the business
- Develop, deliver, and maintain content, training materials, and other documentation for new and on-going compliance training programs and serve as the primary support for compliance training and education initiatives
- Oversee the work of third-party consultants engaged by the Company to supplement the compliance function
- Respond to employee questions and help them navigate specific compliance situations
- Conduct periodic audits of, and prepare periodic reports and evaluations on, the Company’s compliance programs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of trade compliance, legal, audit, and/or risk management experience in a global organization.
- 5 plus exp experience managing teams in multiple locations.
- Experience with the design, execution, monitoring, and audit of trade compliance programs
- Experience with customs import and export regulations and controls, CTPAT requirements, sanctions compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and work simultaneously on multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence and drive change
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Global Trade Compliance Certifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with trade regulations related to privacy a plus
Salary range for candidates based in California: $ 297,311.34 - $ 445, 967.01
Salary range for candidates based in Colorado or New York- New York City: $ 277,861.06- $ 416, 791.60
Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable.
