About the role:

We are seeking a Director of Clinical Care connected to the Two Chairs’ vision and mission and who can adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving environment. You will play an integral role in building the company by leading a team of Senior Managers and Managers responsible for leading teams of Clinicians. 

You will directly report to the Senior Director of Clinical Care and sit on the Clinical Leadership Team. In collaboration with other Directors and Department leads, you will support your clinical team by creating an exceptional clinician experience while delivering on company benchmarks and quality outcomes. Our Directors are champions of our mission to nurture strong, engaged Clinicians who provide exceptional client care and to build a diverse and collaborative clinical community.

You'll be responsible for overseeing a team of Senior Managers and/or Managers while leading clinical strategic projects and company rollouts. Your primary focus will be supporting, training, and coaching your teams in order to drive engagement, retention, and company performance.

Essential functions of this role include: 

Team Oversight and Leadership:

  • Lead a team of Managers and/or Senior Managers and a distributed organization of Clinicians to foster a clinical culture that engages and retains high-quality, high-performing clinicians and clinical leaders
  • Oversee client care within your clinical team and manage staff (e.g., evaluating clinician performance, clinical consultation, crisis management, ensuring org-wide goals)
  • Use data to drive decision making to design and implement Clinician and clinical leader performance and development plans
  • Deliver on key performance indicators, including but not limited to utilization, clinician engagement and retention, etc. 
  • Control all aspects of team performance for team(s) within purview including: planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
  • Direct, design, implement and support company roll-outs of clinical processes and procedures while working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across the company
  • Monitor adherence to legal/ethical guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards
  • Lead with cultural competency and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging
  • Communicate the needs and priorities of the clinical team to internal partners and share progress with clinical team

Clinical:

  • Manage a small panel of 1-2 ongoing clients or regular consult sessions to assist in matching with appropriate service and clinician
  • Champion the use of technology, data, and feedback-informed care in clinical practice
  • Develop and deliver on clinician professional growth and engagement initiatives
  • Provide clinical guidance around escalated client issues
  • Collaboratively build an exceptional client customer experience

 

Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives:

  • Lead on company or division strategic initiatives including working with collaborative partners to develop pilots and clinical team roll outs
  • Act as a clinical thought leader across departments to influence key stakeholders and move company initiatives forward
  • Balance clinical judgment with business acumen to drive decision making and weigh risks
  • Drive change processes across the organization; anticipate and plan for barriers while leading with empathy

 

Requirements: 

  • An active license in clinical psychology (PhD or PsyD from an accredited university) or LMFT/LCSW/LPCC/LMHC/LICSW
  • 4 or more years (6 or more years preferred) of experience managing a team, including 2 years experience managing other managers.
  • Experience leading large (75+ reports), remote, distributed teams in a data-driven and fast-paced/start-up environment with demonstrable experience in driving results and sustained improvement, building teams, and developing people
  • Exceptional clinical skills: expertise in managing clinical crises, providing substantive case consultation, navigating ethics issues, and providing great client experiences
  • Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and interest in incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments (e.g., PHQ-9) to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
  • Excellent technology skills: online calendar management and software (e.g., Google Drive sheets, docs, slides)
  • Knowledge of and history of maintaining HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality
  • Adhere to policy, procedures, and professional code of ethics
  • Provide exceptional care to clients in a secure and confidential space over HIPAA compliant platforms

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Zone 1 / San Francisco Bay Area and New York City | $147,900 - $200,100
New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $147,900 and $174,000

Zone 2 / California (Non-SF), Austin, Boston, Chicago, DC, Portland, Seattle | $136,000 - $184,000
New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $136,000 and $160,000

Zone 3 / Washington State (Non-Seattle), Denver, Miami, Philadelphia | $124,100 - $167,900
New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $124,100 and $146,000

Zone 4 / Florida (Non-Miami), all other Remote locations | $118,150 - $159,850
New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $118,150 and $139,000
