Description

The Director of Change and Delivery plays a critical role in driving organisational transformation and ensuring successful project delivery. Reporting directly to the Chief Transformation Officer, this position collaborates closely with the Director of Architecture and the Director of IT Operations in supporting delivery of Emerald’s vision and goals.

The successful candidate will lead change initiatives, prioritise effectively, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. They will manage a team of project management, business analysis and delivery professionals.

Location: We perform at our best when we feel trusted and are able to choose an approach to working that suits us best, which is why we are a remote-first company. However, we also believe in face to face collaboration, and our UK colleagues meet once a month for team time and quarterly for company get togethers in our Leeds office, so we ask that you be within a commutable distance that you are comfortable with in order to attend the office on those occasions. 

Day to day we’ll trust you to:   

  • Change Leadership: Drive and lead change initiatives across the organisation. Foster a culture of adaptability and proactivity with the implementation of appropriate project and change management strategies.
  • Effective Prioritisation: Collaborate with senior leadership to align priorities and support the prioritisation of projects and initiatives based on strategic goals and business impact.
  • Programme Management: Oversee large-scale programmes from initiation to completion and ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Project Management Standards: Establish and maintain project management best practices, monitoring project performance and addressing any deviations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and buy-in. Communicate project status, risks, and benefits effectively.
  • Team Leadership and Coaching: Lead and inspire project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.

You’ll need to have:   

  • A strong understanding of project and change management principles and a drive for continuous development
  • Proven experience managing large-scale programmes and projects
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Data-driven, pro-active communicator
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach
