As the Director of Brand Comms & Content, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of comprehensive brand comms and content marketing strategies. Leveraging excellent writing skills, data-driven insights, and partner- and customer-centric approaches, you will lead initiatives to attract, engage, and retain customers while aligning content efforts with our business goals and strategic vision.

What you can expect to do

  • Develop and execute a holistic content marketing strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and resonates with our target audiences, including thought leadership content that addresses key industry challenges, trends, and topics
  • Lead a content team to write excellent, high-quality, and engaging content across various formats, including blog posts, case studies, videos, infographics, product briefs, webinar abstracts, and more
  • Utilize various channels, including corporate websites, partner websites, social media, webinars, podcasts, email marketing, and content syndication, to distribute and promote content effectively, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support lead generation, lead nurturing, and customer acquisition efforts
  • Align content to lead/demand generation goals, accounting for various digital channels, formats, and SEO best practices
  • Elevate marketing materials by incorporating compelling customer and partner proof points, framing strategic messaging with external narratives, and leveraging storytelling techniques
  • Generate top-tier, engaging content that resonates with target audiences while adhering to company branding and design guidelines
  • Review content marketing performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Manage the content marketing budget effectively, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI and achieve strategic goals (including third-party resources and vendor management)
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in content marketing and subscription, and B2B to drive continued innovation and improvement

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing
  • Experience in social media content, engagement, and analytics a strong plus
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful content marketing strategies that drive business growth and achieve measurable results
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS industry trends and best practices, with the ability to stay updated on the latest developments and innovations
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset, able to translate business objectives into compelling content strategies and campaigns that resonate with our target audience
  • Passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Butter is well funded by leading investors and offers a competitive benefits package including unlimited PTO, 401k, and comprehensive health insurance.
