Summary of Position

This position serves to support the post-production department. The person in this role is responsible for serving all music needs for Lionsgate Alternative Television (“LGA”) programming as well as maintaining, growing, and effectively utilizing the LGA music assets.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all LGA-owned music and sound effects assets
  • Provides administrative support to the LGA’s music libraries such as registering works, tracking usage, and submitting claims
  • Oversees all music cue sheets for LGA shows
  • Curates individual show music based on creative directives
  • Provides music clearance support through internal means or contracting 3rd party supervisors
  • Oversees music contracts to ensure all paperwork is in current standing
  • Makes sure LGA has current and up-to-date rights for all music over all platforms
  • Works with executives in post-production to solve problems and address issues as they arise

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have knowledge of the post-production and music industries in general
  • Must have knowledge of post-production filing and labeling systems
  • Must have knowledge of current unscripted tv music practices, both as a music supervisor and production music publisher
  • Must have 2 to 4 years of post-production or music supervision experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Must be comfortable with the Macintosh Operating Systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Knowledge of Pilotware and Filemaker Pro a plus

Compensation

$100,000 - $130,000
