Nodal Exchange is part of the EEX Group which is in turn part of the Deutsche Börse Group. We are now looking for talented, innovative individuals to join our Strategy team.Location: Tysons onsite or Remote, Pacific Time Zone excluded The Director Market Data Services role’s objective is to grow the number of data clients, data products and bottom-line revenues in the area of market data services, ensure the secure and performant operation of our service model and provide excellent customer service, and foster Nodal’s reputation as a reliable and innovative exchange operator

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Oversee the work of the Market Data Services team; structure and prioritize teamwork, develop skills and experience of the team 
  • Develop, review, refine, and communicate a comprehensive Nodal market data strategy and support the execution of the EEX Group strategy 
  • Analyze new business opportunities; develop and execute approved initiatives; create roadmaps and action plans for management communication 
  • Lead the negotiation of new market data agreements and manage the evolution of existing agreements - Relationship management with existing and prospect clients and partners
  • Monitor the competitive environment, market trends and regulatory changes in the area of market data
  • Prepare executive updates about the development of Nodal’s market data business 
  • Development of content and material to promote Nodal’s market data offering at conferences and online
  • Support the conceptual design of integrating Nodal market data into client interfacing technology, e.g. frontends 
  • Representation of Nodal Exchange at industry events and conferences

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Higher education in business administration, economics or engineering
  • Very good knowledge of North American and international energy markets, market regulation and our competitive environment
  • Very good knowledge of exchange traded products as well as trading and settlement processes
  • High proficiency in standard MS Office software
  • 4+ years of experience in energy markets
  • Large network of contacts in US energy markets
  • Deep understanding of state-of-the-art market data architecture and data distribution - Familiar with latest regulatory developments in US and EU data protection laws
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Proven track record in developing client relations and sales
  • Able to structure, present and manage complex situations
  • Independent and result-oriented working style

  Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 per year, when annualized
