Job Description SummaryAs the Director of Market Access Operations, you will collaborate extensively with global Market Access and HEOR, Field Reimbursement Managers, and Market Access Payor Executives), Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical, Regulatory, Legal and Finance. You will report directly to the US Market Access, Policy & Reimbursement Leader and is a remote position.
Market Access Operations will be based within the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) Market Access Team of GE Healthcare (GEHC) and will be responsible for the efficient operations of the US Market Access organization. Market Access Operations will be global project sourcing, and KPI management and associated documentation, managing the global Market Access budget, the market Access review Committee process and submissions, MAx Resource creation and general planning for the function.
The PDx business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • MAx Operations
    • Working with HEOR, Patient Services and Strategy leads ensure the approval process is followed to gain medical and legal approvals for resource creation
    • Develops & implements plans, policies, procedures, budgets, performance accounting & tracking processes.
    • Actively collaborate across US commercial functions. A strategic partner to the brand team and interfacing with all US commercial disciplines (operations, marketing, sales, medical affairs, legal, compliance).
    • Identify and provide analysis and performance review of payor engagement activities- develop and maintain payor trackers. Analyzes program-specific performance data, establishes & implements plans to achieve strategic goals & key program success indicators.
    • Operates as the dedicated subject matter expert for US Market Access operations across the commercial PDX portfolio. Will require development of strategic guidance across the business on evolving best practice within the subject matter area and leading development of Market Access, vendor management & operational excellence  to ensure are providing a best in class service to patients and ordering HCPs.
  • Collateral and Resource Development.
    • Lead the MAx Review Process) for all Market Access resources including development, coordination, and approval of all materials.
    • Responsible for loading documents under review into the relevant systems in the desired format.
    • Partner with Market Access team(s) to identify coverage / reimbursement barriers and co-develop solutions to increase access.
  • Project Management
    • Lead all engagements with Indirect Sourcing to ensure timely development and processing of Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Statements of Work (SOW) and coordinate PDx resources as needed to support finalization of MSAs and SOWs
    • Partner with Project Lead to negotiate contracts / SOWs and budgets for desired services.
    • Establish all Purchase Orders in system of record.
    • Process all invoices within the relevant systems.
  • MAx General Operations
    • Lead all planning around prioritized external meetings and conferences.
    • Lead the maintenance of all payor trackers, KPIs and metrics.
    • Manage the market access budget including quarterly consolidation and monthly estimate updates.
    • Lead AST , PO and Vendor Creation
    • Ensure strong collaboration with relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Maintain program SOPs, exceptions processes, workflows, scripting, training and reports. Manage external partner performance against contractual arrangements, SOPs, KPIs, and budget.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business/marketing or science discipline
  • 5+ years' relevant commercial operations experience, within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry including experience in Market Access preferred.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace including legal, medical, regulatory, and clinical processes
  • Advanced project and change management capabilities.
  • Advanced Budget Skills
  • Advanced interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional diverse, multi-national, virtual teams to accomplish specified goals
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution of initiatives and meet all deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Anticipates problems and roadblocks to avoid crisis management.
  • Track record of highly ethical and compliant behavior

Desired Characteristics

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience in Market Access a plus
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of global health care environments globally (US & EU).
  • Agency/Vendor management experience preferred.
  • Experience in Veeva and SAP
  • MBA is a plus

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $138,720.00-$208,080.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
