The Role
The Genmab Market Access Marketing Director will be responsible for advancing the overall market access marketing strategy and supporting tactics for a future oncology product in Women’s Health. The role will work across the Global and US Market Access organizations to ensure that all Market Access segments (Field Execution teams, Strategic Pricing & Contracting, Patient Services & Support Teams, Trade & Distribution), as well as CORE (COE Real-World Evidence & Epidemiology), Market Access Alliance team members, Medical and Marketing, are consulted and remain an integral part of strategic development.  Additionally, this role will ensure that key market access tactics are executed against the broader affected organization (i.e., Marketing, Sales, and Insights & Analytics). The overarching goal is to ensure that Genmab medicines are positioned for best product access across the US Healthcare Ecosystem so that we can help people who need our medicines get them.

This role will develop the primary market access resources for the Market Access account team and activities instrumental to the brand's success, including the ongoing development and integration of RWE (Real World Evidence) into Value Proposition presentations, access programs, and collateral. This person will partner with Market Access, CORE, and Marketing teams to strategize on the approach across segments to ensure optimal access and GTN (gross to net). The role will also ensure that payer and reimbursement strategies are aligned across the brand and portfolio. In collaboration with Market Access and Training, the role will ensure that the customer-facing teams are appropriately trained and resourced on current strategies for the asset. 

Responsibilities

  • Developing the annual and/or quarterly Market Access product-specific strategic planning and partnering with all Market Access segments, Marketing functions, Finance, and Global Partners to ensure strategic and tactical efforts are aligned for brand planning with a focus on specific Market Access customer needs

  • Developing access-focused strategic resources for Population Health Decision Makers for Market Access account teams, including economic resources, value propositions, competitive intelligence, and objection handlers by engaging with Corporate Account Directors, Payer Account Directors, CORE, Health Economic Outcome Liaisons and other business partners to integrate data and knowledge into our strategic planning and execution of market access strategies across the organization

  • Creating and implementing communication and training plans consistently for Market Access tactics across segments

  • Directing the development of critical market research including the development of qualitative and quantitative areas of study, and deciding fundamental go-to-market principles to achieve the best product commercialization

  • Creating trusted and collaborative relationships among Market Access, and all Cross-Functional Partners

  • Master the Genmab Veeva PromoMats process, including strong partnerships with reviewers, understanding of compliance guidelines, Market Access execution SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), FDA (Food and Drug Administration) marketing policies, and vendor payment systems 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sciences or business, MBA preferred.  

  • Minimum of 10 years of payer/access marketing experience

  • Command of various Market Access customer types, formulary decision makers, FDAMA/21st Century Cures Act, Patient Services, Reimbursement Policies, Federal/Government stakeholders

  • Success in the areas of commercial pharmaceuticals and a track record of execution and results

  • Experience working with Payers, IDNs (Integrated Delivery Networks) and Corporate Accounts is desirable 

  • Deep understanding of the specialty and oncolytic therapeutics, including DRGs (Diagnosis Related Group), specialty distribution, and GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) dynamics 

  • Demonstrated experience in launching new products and building Pre-Approval Information Exchange (PIE) presentations

  • Experience in identifying market trends and implications

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Dynamic leadership qualities that foster trust and empowerment of team members

  • Understanding of the Oncology marketplace and key considerations of the US market environment for Hematology and solid tumors, including patient journey and physician reimbursement

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills combined with an ability to successfully collaborate across matrix organization

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience in marketing operations, pharmaceutical promotional, and digital marketing; agency or brand team experience with creating content and shepherding through the approval process.

  • History of consistently meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects with potential interdependent findings and deadlines

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of high-performance results

  • Prior joint venture, co-promote, co-marketing experience desired

Where you will work: The role is hybrid – 3 days in our Princeton, NJ office. The position requires 20% travel as needed by the business (domestic and/or international). 

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$176,250.00---$293,750.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
