Job Summary
The Finance Director is based in Dallas, TX and is responsible for managing the activities of a team of financial professionals in a business unit and ensuring the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of financial data as well as developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies in order to ensure accurate data that is in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements. This is an ON-SITE role and not remote as we are setting up system to support Dallas site.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage preparation of quarterly financial reporting package for leadership review
- Establish operational objectives and assignments.
- Develop and establish financial reporting requirements.
- Support external auditors in their examination of quarterly and year-end financial statements.
- Ensure monthly informative account analysis and reconciliations are performed.
- Coach and mentor financial professionals in organization.
- Be abreast of industry trends and apply to business model as appropriate.
- Analyze market practice to benchmark current systems and controls to verify systems and process integrity in order to enhance the Company's value.
- Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
Here's some of the experience we're looking to add to the team:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Finance including 3-5 years in management role
- Deep P&L understanding to be able to drive operational results
- Strategic thought partner with excellent leadership skills, a bias for action and impact
- Ability to foster & drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen
- Strong weighting to operational finance, and the ability to understand financial operating systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field (business, etc.) preferred
- MBA a plus
