Get to Know the Opportunity:
The Finance Technology Strategy (FTS) team is committed to driving operational excellence, delivering service excellence, and enabling a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the Finance organization. By harnessing technology enablement, process re-engineering, and innovative thinking, we will strive to create a best-in-class Finance function that empowers our teams to achieve their goals with a focus on Voya’s core resources – people, process, data, and technology.
FTS will serve as internal advocates, technologists and strategic partners across Finance, acting as change agents and subject matter experts focused on continuous improvement and innovation. We will strive to develop and implement both strategic and tactical solutions that will elevate our Finance colleagues to support their goals and objectives.
We are looking to hire a Director of Finance Technology Strategy, who will serve as lead of our Process Optimization & Strategy vertical. This person will act as a strategic partner and internal advocate for the Finance organization, responsible for driving process optimization and business analysis across the Finance function. In partnership with the broader Finance Technology Strategy team, this Director will drive process efficiencies, alignment with strategic goals, and delivery of transformative insights and solutions to enhance Finance processes and technology enablement. Will also play a leading role in the organization of the Finance Technology Transformation Program.
Please Note: This position allows remote work from home but will require travel to our Voya office as business requires. Candidates must be located within a 2 hour radius from your assigned office.
The Contributions You'll Make:
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – Act as a strategic partner to FTS leadership, senior Finance leadership, and Finance functional teams.
Project Management – Serve as a PMO lead for FTS, supporting technology enablement and process improvement projects and initiatives across our Finance function.
Lead Process Optimization Initiatives - Drive the identification, analysis, and implementation of process improvement opportunities across the Finance function, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure alignment with broader strategic goals.
Performance Measurement & Reporting – Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvements, technology implementations, and other initiatives. Regularly report on progress and outcomes to key stakeholders.
Technology Enablement – Champion the adoption of emerging finance technologies, tools, and systems, ensuring they support the business strategy.
Minimum Knowledge & Education:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology/Systems.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance operations, technology strategy, or process management. Experience in a Project Management / Global Process Owner role is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of financial systems and finance technologies.
Hands on implementation experience with ERP, EPM, and/or Reporting Platforms.
Advanced knowledge/exposure to ERP platforms (Oracle preferred, SAP, Workday, etc.).
Advanced knowledge/exposure to EPM platforms (Oracle preferred, IBM, Anaplan, etc.).
Advanced knowledge/exposure with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Proven experience in process re-engineering and transformation.
Proven experience with leading process enhancement solutions via automation tools (UI Path, BluePrism, PowerAutomate, Alteryx, etc.).
Proven experience with data analytical tools (PowerBI, Tableau, OAC).
Leadership Skills: Demonstrates strong leadership in driving cross-functional teams towards achieving process optimization and technology transformation goals. Excels in motivating, mentoring, and aligning diverse teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
Communication: Possesses exceptional communication abilities to effectively engage with senior executives, stakeholders, and team members. Capable of translating complex strategies into clear, actionable insights while fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment across all levels of the organization.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
