The Sanofi Patient Support Services (PSS) team is focused on supporting patients wishing to access Sanofi therapies. This is achieved by offering programs that provide reimbursement and logistics support, financial assistance, and patient education. In addition to the program offerings, the PSS organization is also home to field teams that provide education and support to patients and customers. 

In this field-based position, the Director Field Reimbursement Manager - East reports to the Head, PSS Neurology within Patient Support Services.

 

In this field-based position, the Field Reimbursement Director will be responsible for successfully hiring and leading a Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM) team to become the field subject matter expert relating to billing, coding, procurement, contracting and access issues for infused and oral products for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) throughout the defined zone.

Main Responsibilities:

Within a highly competitive marketplace, the Director will be called upon to successfully lead and motivate their Team to execute the National BRM strategy, supporting the initiatives set forth in the business plan to include:  

  • Manage/Resolve Day to Day Zone related objectives/issues that affect items within the FRM Scope of Work.  Escalate to Sr. Director when necessary. 

  • Develop zone business plans to support objectives and expectations using available resources 

  • Lead a team of FRMs in the development of territory and account business plans and account specific tactics that optimize business performance  

  • Attracting, developing, empowering and retaining their people by rewarding and recognizing strong performance by using innovative approaches to recognition and minimize regrettable attrition  

  • Responsible for the oversight of all aspects of business relations as FRMs will be the subject matter experts on product procurement, Buy & Bill processes, billing and coding, contracting, financial assistance offerings from MS One to One, access, medical policy, patient pull through and other business related issues 

  • Spend time in the field with Field Reimbursement Managers in order to support individual development, help with issue resolution as well as provide coaching, direction and feedback 

  • Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external) 

  • Lead the development, review and implementation of Reimbursement programs and tools that strengthens reimbursement support services, align with that align with brand initiatives within the MS Market 

  • Understand  and adhere to all policies and procedures in order to coordinate local market activities with Sanofi Account Teams for removing reimbursement obstacles and gain coverage for MS products in a proactive manner 

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of pull through, reimbursement and coverage issues within the zone and maintain open lines of communication with Sales Management Teams, Policy, Government Affairs, and brands teams by providing them with timely and actionable information working together to resolve the issue.  Communicate and collaborate effectively and transversally with other Regional Business Directors, Key Accounts field team, brand marketing, payer marketing, market access teams, medical affairs, and field teams, senior management and all other departments necessary in order to facilitate achievement of objectives 

 

About You

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS Degree required 

  • 8-10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry 

  • The Director FRM is expected to be field-based, residing in its territory  

  • Valid driver's license 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years prior experience managing a team of field-based employees  

  • MS experience strongly preferred 

  • MS or Oncology physician reimbursement experience strongly preferred 

  • Must be an energetic, driven dynamic leader 

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, communication and leadership skills required 

  • Strong understanding and experience working to ensure access for infused products, especially within a buy and bill model 

  • Significant experience and understanding of the ever changing payer environment and its impact on access of products administered in a healthcare setting 

  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment (sales, market access, customer service, medical affairs, marketing) 

  • Ability to quickly assemble and develop a high performing experienced team 

  • Must achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures, and require the same of his/her team 

  

Travel Requirements: 

  • 50-75% travel, depending on zone 

  • Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary

This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program.

Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.

The salary range for this position is $172,500.00 - $230,000.00 USD Annually. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
