JOB TITLE: Director, Engineering
LOCATION: REMOTE
THE ROLE: As Director, Engineering will report directly to the SVP Engineering and be a key member of the Engineering leadership team. In this role, you will help elevate the leadership of other engineering leaders in the areas of people, process and product development. You will be accountable for product engineering for Splice Sounds, providing tools that access the largest catalog of royalty-free sounds to empower music creators everywhere.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead, coach, and grow multiple engineering teams building the Splice Sounds product experience
- Collaborate with product leadership to drive a culture of empowered teams, fostering ownership, collaboration, and initiative across the organization.
- Define clear objectives for the team and lead them in achieving those goals.
- Establish and maintain efficient processes to facilitate the team's productivity.
- Stay current on the latest technologies, best practices, and industry trends in software development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to early-career managers and engineers to support their technical and professional growth.
- Collaborate with senior and staff engineers to shape technical strategy and secure buy-in across the organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Champion and advocate for engineering best practices, code quality, and scalability to maintain high standards across projects.
