This position is a hybrid/remote position. Remote mainly with some onsite occasional.  Epic MyChart or other Epic experience is strongly preferred.

The Director of Product Delivery provides leadership, vision, planning and management to their product area. They will support and deliver the product vision that supports Digital Experience goals. ​ The Director will have the opportunity to drive innovation and directly impact the Patient and Workforce digital experiences. 

The ideal candidate for this role has an exemplary track record of leading product teams in healthcare and possesses exceptional product management skills and a proven track record of driving customer-led product innovation and growth.  The ideal candidate for this role must be a passionate, team-oriented problem solver who approaches the role with a general manager mentality, waking up every day thinking about the strategy, vision, and growth of our healthcare business. ​The candidate should possess high emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and ability to make difficult decisions considering all factors.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Ability to think strategically and understand the bigger picture, with a mindset that balances business priorities and customer priorities/expectations
  • Ability to develop and articulate well thought out business cases and their financial / bottom line impacts
  • Experience and understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Superb communication skills and an ability to create clarity from ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities
  • Strong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processes
  • Experience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management

1.    Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of Product Owners.
2.    Partner with Digital Experience Lab and Studio leadership to establish the product vision and strategy for the portfolio.
3.    Define goals and success with clearly measurable Objectives and Key Results.
4.    Implement best-in-class product development and management practices.
5.    Develop product roadmaps and build alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners, and executive stakeholders.
6.    Manage delivery scope, resources, and financials, and ensuring alignment between the product priorities/roadmaps and the product engineering delivery plans
7.    Communicate concisely, influence outcomes, and rally support from senior leadership across all functions.
8.    Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
9.    Manage a strong, highly functioning team with responsibilities including recruitment, hiring, performance management, professional career development, and building and fostering trust.
10.    Execute operational management and change readiness activities
11.    Complete required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.    
12.    Assist in the development of organization-wide systems standards (hardware, software, network systems) policies and procedures. 
 

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration and/or Information Systems with course work in Computer Science or equivalent; Masters preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive information systems management experience preferably in a health care field.
  • 8+ years experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area, strongly preferred
  • Experience with Epic or Epic MyChart a plus; strongly preferred
  • Epic Certification a plus – MyChart or related module strongly preferred
     

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $143,858.00 - $239,662.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
