We are a leading rare disease marketing agency specializing in healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing and training. Our digital department builds websites, banner ads, emails, digital marketing campaigns, e-learning modules (using Storyline), and handles a wide array of client digital engagement needs. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Creative Technology to lead our digital team, driving Purplemoon digital strategy, innovation, and execution for our diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the leadership team on digital department updates and strategic planning.
    • Develop new and innovative digital marketing products and learning strategies for Purplemoon
    • Collaborate with leadership to innovate and identify emerging technologies or solutions tailored to healthcare and pharma marketing needs.
  • Client & Team Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary digital expert, interfacing with clients to provide strategic guidance and address technical questions.
    • Oversee and manage internal and remote development teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
    • Work closely with account teams and clients to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Execution & Oversight:
    • Manage the development and deployment of digital assets, including websites, marketing campaigns, and e-learning modules.
    • Oversee digital marketing omnichannel efforts, including Google Ads campaigns, Veeva-approved assets, and IQVIA tools.

Required Qualifications 

  • 10-15 years with Master's education (MBA or Master's in technical space) along with a Bachelor's degree (ideally in CS or a relevant field for digital marketing)
    • Experience should also ideally be in pharmaceutical marketing agencies
    • 5 of those years should be in management.
    • Senior-level experience in digital marketing, learning, and technology leadership roles, ideally within healthcare or pharma marketing.
    • Proficiency with Google Ads, Veeva, IQVIA, and other technical platforms commonly used in a digital marketing agency.
    • Strong understanding of general programming concepts and web development.
    • Proven track record of strategic oversight and successfully managing internal and remote teams.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects across clients and functions.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rare disease marketing.
  • Knowledge of programming languages a plus.
  • Ability to look at a product build and confirm the approach.

Work Environment

  • This is a hybrid position in the NYC area, with the flexibility to work fully remote for the right candidate.
