· Lead the design strategy for the brand portfolio, collaborating with both internal and external creative teams to coordinate materials. Play a key role in concept creation and the development of new brands.
· Develop comprehensive guidelines for product labeling, concept layouts, print materials, and packaging mechanicals. Create custom concepts, mock-ups, and final proof artwork for print vendors.
· Oversee the graphic look and feel of creative products and the company’s identity. Lead in-house photo shoots for web and print collateral, and design or revise company sales materials for print.
· Participate in meetings and briefings with clients, sales teams, and managers to discuss design objectives and requirements. Continuously research new programs and tools to enhance the design studio’s capabilities.
· Manage projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision. Direct professional photo shoots for company collateral and imagery. Plan and schedule design briefs for the studio, assigning work as needed. Oversee department budget and spending in alignment with established parameters.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Strong knowledge of art preparation for print, packaging manufacturing, and pre-press processes.
· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
· Experienced with digital photography and camera techniques.
· Possesses a strong sense of design and drawing skills.
· Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Skilled at gathering information and data to clarify design challenges.
· Highly organized and able to work effectively in a team environment.
· Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines by interpreting design briefs to meet cost, time, and client requirements.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Four-year college degree, BFA and/or Graphic Arts, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 7 years’ experience in Graphic Arts/ Packaging Design.
3. Demonstrated technical proficiency in graphics hardware/software.
4. Experience in creative design and illustration.
