As a Director, Corporate Development, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Execute robust BD & ventures strategy

  • Enable future portfolio moves for inorganic growth

  • Collaborate with business units to construct analysis for inorganic deals

  • Prioritize, plan, design and execute critical BD transformation

  • Support other portfolio transformation activities

  • Source and leverage business-specific market data/ intelligence to define competitive advantage

  • Be a thought-partner with businesses to define and resource business-specific growth strategy

  • Identify portfolio of initiatives (organic & inorganic) including pipeline opportunities for growth

  • Continuously evaluate business strategy realization and adjacency opportunities

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Ten (10) years of experience in business development.

  • 10 years for MedTech experience especially in the surgical field

  • Experience presenting to Senior Management and Board of Directors

  • Experience with deal structuring, valuations, modeling, robust diligence planning and contract negotiations

  • Experience preparing businesses for divestiture

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Track record of closing multiple transactions especially in MedTech

  • Experience with strategic planning and landscaping of targets

  • Ability to lead large cross-functional teams

  • Ability to tap into a network of MedTech executives, bankers, VC funds and other MedTech leaders to source deals

  • Operational experience or similar training in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
