Director, Content Marketing
The Director, Content Marketing plays a key role in driving our content strategy and ensuring the creation of high-quality, engaging, and impactful content across various channels. This position leads a team of content marketers and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our marketing objectives. The Director, Content Marketing understands the financial technology industry, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and has a proven track record of successful content marketing strategies.
What You'll Do:
- Execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with the company's goals and brand vision.
- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster professional growth and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Oversee the creation of compelling and informative content across multiple platforms, including website, blog, social media, email marketing, whitepapers, etc.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as product managers, sales teams, and subject matter experts, to gather insights and develop content that effectively communicates our value proposition.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of content projects, while maintaining quality standards.
- Drive the editorial planning process, including content ideation, creation, distribution, and performance tracking.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify content opportunities and adjust the content strategy accordingly.
- Utilize SEO strategies and best practices to optimize content for search engines and maximize organic visibility.
- Take ownership of the content marketing budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure efficient use of funds.
- Collaborate with the marketing leadership team to contribute to overall marketing strategy and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in content marketing, technology, and industry trends to continuously enhance content marketing efforts.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or relevant experience) - 8+ years
- Proven success in content marketing, preferably within the financial technology industry.
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing content marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and social media best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to craft engaging and persuasive content.
- Experience in managing agency relationships and collaborating with external vendors.
- Proficient in utilizing content management systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable content strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and analyze content performance metrics to drive data-driven decision making.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The base salary for this position is $150,000- $175,000.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
