Compensation Range: $139,500-$180,000 PLUS BONUS 

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.  

Job Purpose

The Director of Compensation & HRIS is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, managing, and overseeing the organization's compensation programs and HRIS. This role requires balancing business objectives with market trends, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation strategies, and optimizing HR systems to support organizational goals. The Director works closely with senior management, HR leaders, and external vendors to align compensation policies and HRIS functionality with company strategy and employee needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Global Compensation Strategy and Design:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Enhance and refine compensation plans through quantitative feedback and regular market analysis of industry trends and best practices, and recommend plan options by modeling and analysis.
  • Ensure the compensation programs are achieving intended outcomes and being administered consistently and transparently across the organization.
  • Create policies and proactive procedures to ensure global compliance.
  • Develop communication strategies and materials to educate employees and managers on compensation programs, policies, and procedures.

Global Salary & Incentive Structure Design:

  • Design and maintain structures and plans that reflect market competitiveness and internal equity, and ensure alignment with the company’s compensation philosophy.
  • Design, implement, and manage short-term and long-term incentive plans.
  • Ensure plans are competitive, equitable, and aligned with company performance metrics.

Job Architecture:

  • Partner closely with Talent Team on the design and governance of the company’s job architecture, including job families, levels, and career paths.
  • Maintain oversight of job architecture to ensure alignment and scalability.

Equity Compensation and Board Support:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on equity compensation, providing guidance and support.
  • Provide data and insight for the development of proxy statements and Compensation Committee BOD materials.

Global HRIS Management & Strategy:

  • Lead the development and execution of the HRIS strategy in alignment with the overall HR and business strategy.
  • Manage the HRIS system(s) lifecycle, including implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance and drive the optimization of the company’s HR systems.
  • Ensure HRIS systems are integrated effectively with other enterprise systems.
  • Ensure data integrity within the HRIS and leverage the system for accurate reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and business decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness and ROI of compensation programs and HRIS implementations.

System Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations within HRIS.
  • Stay current with HR technology trends, best practices, and emerging solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance HR operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Lead efforts to enhance data-driven decision-making across the HR function.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant global labor laws and regulations related to compensation, including FLSA, EEO, and pay equity requirements.
  • Ensure data security and privacy regulations are adhered to in the management of HRIS and employee information.
  • Monitor changes in global legislation and industry practices to recommend adjustments as necessary.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Partner with HR business partners, the Talent team, and business leaders to provide functional guidance on Compensation and HRIS matters.
  • Lead and mentor a team of compensation and HRIS professionals.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years in compensation management and HRIS, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a publicly traded company.
• Knowledge of relevant global, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding of compensation models, trends, and practices.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and experience in HR technology integrations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a trong understanding of how to interpret complex data and build cost projections and models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior leadership.
• Change management skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and high sense of urgency for adherence to critical deadlines.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 25%.
