Datavant is looking for an experienced, Director-level finance professional to join our small but growing finance team. In this high-visibility role, you will be responsible for providing insightful, data driven analyses that help us to better understand our customers and the context in which they operate.  This will entail understanding the workings of some of our largest contracts and most important relationships with the country’s largest Health Systems and Provider.  You will partner with the divisional CFO and the head of sales to provide robust commercial insights and become a partner to the sales team throughout the entire contracting process.  You will also help business leaders think through the financial and strategic implications of decisions across the entire customer lifecycle.  The role will also have a significant go-to-market focus to ensure the company is tracking and reporting opportunities, bookings, and revenue consistently and providing a clear pulse on how we are tracking against our aggressive top-line goals.

You Will: 

  • Own the financial analysis (proforma models) for our largest and most important customers
  • Advise business leadership on customer trends and implications of commercial decisions, helping to continue to drive the business forward
  • Become a trusted partner to the sales team as they contemplate new contract structures
  • Own the financial implications of the entire customer lifecycle, including partnering on renewal structuring 

You Will Bring to the Table: 

  • At least 7 years of progressive FP&A or related finance experience, with a preference for commercial finance exposure
  • Ability to quickly internalize the nuances of complex financial agreements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both within the finance team and with other sales and business unit leaders 
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with an emphasis on scenario planning
  • Support the sales team and leadership in negotiations throughout the customer cycle
  • Ability to proactively seek out opportunities to analyze business problems, make recommendations, and translate complex  concepts into actionable insights
  • Understanding of corporate finance and working knowledge of GAAP

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $150,000-$175,000.
