The Brand Finance Director will play a critical role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of Eyewear brand portfolio (licensed and proprietary). This role requires heavy business partnering with senior leadership and business partners to drive growth and ensure financial goals are met. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of brand financial performance, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and strategic planning.

Build financial business plans and defines ways to identify financial opportunities and gaps

Responsible for the comprehensive accounting and reporting of all contractual obligations related to Eyewear sales that are subject to contractual obligations

Responsible for ensuring compliance of terms and conditions of 30+ active license arrangement from a financial perspective

Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

Identify and ensure implementation of financial improvements to achieve revenue and profit targets


Recommend proper allocation of assets and resources to maximize productivity and profitability and provide valuable analysis and insight to guide decision making that supports the Company’s key objectives

Lead the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and tools

Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for brand portfolio (licensed and proprietary) in close collaboration with brand teams and corporate and regional finance partners

Lead the global financial management of licensed brands and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with contractual obligations, including royalty, advertising and marketing

Provide strategic financial guidance to brand leadership, identifying opportunities for growth, and providing recommendations that influence business decisions

Monitor and analyze global brand performance, including Sales, P&L, and other key metrics

Lead the financial evaluation of new license launches, strategic investments, and other brand initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial objectives

Collaborate closely with Commercial Sales, Brand Management, and other G&A functions, including Legal, to support brand strategies and initiatives

Collaborate closely with Chief Brand Officer and Legal Counsel regarding contract structuring, including, review of financial and reporting terms

Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 2 additional years of experience related to functional area.

Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports

Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts; knowledge of licensing industry and royalty accounting preferred.

Ability to delegate work responsibility with strong interpersonal skills
 

Problem solving and strategizing capabilities.

In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills

Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment; maintain composure under pressure and can balance competing priorities.

Clean credit history as reported by credit report.

Preferred Skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP software preferred

Post baccalaureate degree / certification is desired

Audit experience, with focus on royalty audits strongly preferred

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $105,000.00 - $165,375.00
