What are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Systems & Process Transformation Director to join our finance team. This role will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our accounting systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across platforms such as NetSuite, Workday, Equity Edge, FloQast, Coupa, Navan, Expensify, and other related systems. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the finance department and IT, bridging the gap to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive efficiencies within our financial operations.

What will you do? 

  • Oversee the administration and optimization of, and act as lead in providing financial and accounting functional expertise for various accounting systems including NetSuite, Workday, Equity Edge, FloQast, Coupa, Navan, Expensify, and others as required.
  • Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between finance and IT teams, fostering effective communication and alignment on system upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop and implement best practices for system usage, data integrity, and compliance with accounting standards, regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  • Lead system implementations and upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Assemble and deliver ongoing communication to key stakeholders at all levels around the system implementations, upgrades and business transformation projects.
  • Focus on initiatives that will enable reporting that includes management dashboards, metrics process improvements and enables complex problem solving.
  • Provide training and support to finance users on system functionalities, new features, and enhancements.
  • Assist in regular system audits and assessments to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in accounting systems and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

What skills and qualifications should you bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CISA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8-10 years) in managing and optimizing accounting systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Equity Edge, FloQast, Coupa, Navan, Expensify, etc., within a corporate finance environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and controls, with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Experience in project management, including system implementations and upgrades.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving process improvements and system efficiencies.

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate.  For some

locations, a different pay range may apply.  If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting

Base Salary Range$185,320—$255,380 USD
