The Director, Culture, Engagement and Change Management Communications, is responsible for developing and executing strategies that effectively reach and inspire all levels of the enterprise to lean into our purpose.  

 

This leader will also create and implement change management strategies to drive faster adoption of enterprise priorities. This leader will monitor changes to business processes and systems, identify the impact on employees, and get them ready for change.  

 

This role is part of the Corporate Affairs organization, where everyone plays a strategic role in helping our company deliver value and drive results that contribute to our company’s success.  

 

Location/commute 

  • This role is based at our headquarters site in Rahway (NJ, USA).  

  • We offer a hybrid setup {combination of an in-office (3 days) & remote/offsite (2 days)}. 

  • This position cannot be 100% remote. 

 

Scope of work and core responsibilities 

  • Partner with the AVP, Employee and Executive Communications, to develop a highly integrated culture and engagement strategy and calendar across the enterprise, along with key partners in HR, Strategy and regional teams 

  • Develop engaging, visual and dynamic content and communications materials, such as internal web content, briefings, presentations, speeches and other significant enterprise-wide messages, including materials for our Executive Team 

  • Manage day-to-day deliverables with flawless execution 

  • Measure success for culture and engagement initiatives, and recommend steps for improvement  

  • Work collaboratively with the Global Employee and Executive Communications team and across Corporate Affairs to deliver holistic communication strategies that align with our company’s business strategic priorities 
     

Required qualifications 

  • Minimum 10 years of communication experience with a focus in employee engagement, change management, culture initiatives, corporate and executive communications (including speech writing)
  • Proven experience confidently interacting with and counseling corporate executives and key internal partners with best-in-class communication practices, ensuring messaging is consistent across the organization while demonstrating executive presence
  • Experience leading and launching enterprise-wide employee campaigns
  • Deep understanding of change management principles, techniques and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organization
  • Strong writing, editing and communications skills across multiple media, including speeches, email, video scripts, editorial and social content
  • Creative thinker and passionate about building culture
  • Strong project management skills with proven success managing major initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Organized with sharp attention to detail
  • Exceptional business acumen with agility in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive with ability to “see” around corners and anticipate needs of our leaders and executives
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in employee and internal communications, public relations, external engagement and corporate reputation
  • Experience in healthcare industry, including large Fortune 500 companies
  • Experience at a PR agency or equivalent welcome

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
