About you

You are a motivated professional passionate about creating easy-to-use health websites and digital products. You are ready to support the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of health communication products for consumer and professional audiences. You have a strong eye for detail, whether you’re documenting product requirements, populating information in a content management system, or reviewing web analytics. You take pride in ensuring that products meet the needs of priority audiences and align with best practices and client goals. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, and you demonstrate strong organizational and collaboration skills.

What you’ll do

  • Work with technical leads, project managers and clients across the full product development lifecycle
  • Draft product plans, including technical requirements and evaluation metrics
  • Conduct environmental scans, inventories, audits, and assessments for digital products
  • Maintain content, including data and images, in a content management system (CMS) such as Drupal
  • Perform quality control (QC) testing on websites and digital products and presenting organized and actionable findings to your project team
  • Contribute to recommendations for product development and improvement based on UX and accessibility best practices that align with user needs and preferences
  • Format digital documents to ensure accessibility (508 compliance)
  • Follow governance plans to maintain content on digital products, and help maintain integrity and accuracy of product documentation
  • Monitor web analytics and make recommendations for product improvement
  • Support product testing, such as usability research studies, by working with research team on participant recruitment, data collection, and analysis
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices for digital products, and contribute to digital strategy recommendations based on best practices (e.g., inclusive design, use of AI)

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree
  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Communication, Information Design, Computer Science, Business, Social Science, or a related field
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress)
  • Understanding of usability and accessibility principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
