About the job
This position is needed at Twilio to contribute to the technical education of every developer who visits the Twilio Blog, Twilio CodeExchange, or Twilioâs other developer-focused web properties.Â
The goal of this position is to strengthen and expand coverage of existing and emerging technologies and their intersection with Twilio products on the Twilio Blog and on Twilio CodeExchange using the Python programming language. Software Engineers of Technical Content must demonstrate and explain complicated programming topics in ways blog readers and CodeExchange users can easily understand. They ensure that developers using the Twilio platform are heroes of their own companies by inspiring and enabling them to successfully use Twilioâs products.
Responsibilities
In this role, youâll:
- (60%) Publish one to three pieces of high quality, relevant, and engaging technical content on Twilioâs developer-focused web propertiesâthe Twilio Blog and Twilio CodeExchangeâper month by:
- Writing original, long form, code-based technical tutorials that meet strategic directives
- Enabling Python community developers to write their own tutorials
- Coding samples for common Twilio products and use cases in Python
- Keeping meticulous records of in-progress and published content and contributors in the teamâs Airtable base
- (25%) Maintain, update, or sunset existing Python-based technical content on the Twilio Blog and Twilio CodeExchange on a weekly cadenceÂ
- (15%) Serve as the resident expert and content owner for the Python programming language by:
- Staying up-to-date on all language best practices and standards and ensuring all content in your language area adheres to them
- Researching and learning new technologies, frameworks, and tools within your language area
- Providing language-related guidance to âŚ
