We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer II developer to join our growing team. This person will collaborate with the current team to support and enable our AWS infrastructure. You will work with our engineers and outside DevOps contractors to support various tools, users, and existing software systems that facilitate the distribution of incentives for clean energy technologies reporting systems. You will bring technical expertise and a team-oriented approach to handle various tasks to maintain systems that meet the needs of our clients as well as the energy and cost savings goals of the programs we support.
To ensure success you should be proficient in AWS DevOps engineering, managing Cloud infrastructure using Terraform, have strong research and communication skills, and the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. This position will report to a Software Engineering Manager in the Information Systems group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support a variety of Cloud-based deployments across multiple projects
- Respond to support tasks with timely solutions
- Assist in building and maintaining testing tools, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Provide technical direction, training, and guidance to more junior DevOps staff and other team members
- Assist in troubleshooting issues relating to AWS, networking, databases, etc.
- Monitor system operations to detect potential problems
- Read, write, review, and verify scripts in python and other scripting languages
- Coordinate with our valued DevOps partner to minimize the work that needs to be outsourced.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent technical background with a minimum of 5 years professional engineering experience
- Minimum of 3 years AWS DevOps engineering experience
- Experience managing/improving Cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD
