Job Title: DevOps Cloud Engineer III
Location: US - Remote, must be based in the United States of America. Preference to Texas, Kansas, Indianapolis.
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to join our team of highly skilled professionals. In this role, you will support AWS, Azure, and on-premise systems, with a primary focus on AWS. You will work to enhance our existing practices and drive the adoption of best practices across all environments.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
AWS and Jenkins Management
- Manage AWS and Jenkins environments using Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure in collaboration with development and DevOps teams.
- Integrate AWS, Azure, and on-premise systems for seamless operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud and DevOps trends.
- Evaluate and recommend system and process improvements.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to share knowledge with the team.
Collaboration and Troubleshooting
- Work closely with the team to design and implement scalable, reliable systems.
- Collaborate on projects to ensure system high availability and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across cloud and on-premise environments.
Automation and Optimization
- Develop and maintain automation tools for efficient cloud resource management.
- Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and security.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document procedures and maintain records for system configurations and deployments.
- Prepare reports on infrastructure performance, cost projections, and improvement plans.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Strong experience in DevOps with expertise in AWS, Terraform, Linux, and Jenkins.
- Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC).
- Experience with software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Solid knowledge of cloud computing and networking principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.
- Collaborative attitude, comfortable in both mentoring and learning roles, and open to critical feedback.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application development using Java and Node.js.
- Experience with other tools like Go, Python, and Ansible.
Travel
Travel is minimal, any travel would be potentially once a month for an in-person IT team meeting

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $99,500.00 - $145,000.
