We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Developer Experience Platform Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining our platform of DevSecOps and Developer Experience tooling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to fulfill their requirements and ensure successful delivery.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Automate the day-to-day roll out and maintenance of core Developer Experience infrastructure - GitLab, Coder, Backstage, Temporal, and more - across our Cloud platforms
  • Engineer with Terraform, Ansible and other IaC tools, adhering to high standards with comprehensive documentation and automated testing
  • Administer and fine-tune Kubernetes instances hosting our Developer Experience platform
  • Collaborate with application developers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation and C4 architectural designs
  • Implement security controls and best practices to ensure data protection and compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer
  • Experience administering a GitLab EE instance, or similar CI/CD platform
  • Experience building standard pipelines in GitLab EE, or similar CI/CD platform
  • Experience administering Kubernetes, any flavor
  • Experience leveraging Terraform and Helm (or similar)
  • Experience with a modern configuration management tool, preferably Ansible
  • Possession of an “automate everything” mentality
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture to foster collaboration and streamline delivery pipelines
  • Expert knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, secrets management and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security measures, and best practices in cloud environments

Compensation:  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $190,000/year in our highest geographic market.  Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
