Sharetec is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team!

Sharetec is seeking a results-driven individual with a strong background in desktop support and end user support. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our end users every day. This role requires a broad range of skills and expertise across multiple domains including installing and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.

This position is a full-time exempt role with an annual starting salary range of $60,000 - $65,000. The work arrangement is remote, and we are specifically seeking candidates who reside in one of the states listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, computer peripherals
  • Resolve internal user issues and ensure correct operation of personal computers
  • Provide end user support for approved and installed software
  • Onboard/offboard employees
  • Implement and follow security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard the environment and data
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Associateā€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years direct experience with M365
  • Ability to support Microsoft operating systems
  • Proven ability to investigate complex issues spanning multiple technologies and drive to resolution
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; ability to adapt to change and a quick learner
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in diagnosing complex issues
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team


Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in the financial industry
  • Knowledge of Mac OS
  • Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations, including management
  • Experience with risk management in critical environments
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 compliance and standards
