Overview

National Debt Relief is seeking an experienced and dynamic Desktop Engineering Manager to join our growing technology team. Reporting to the Director of Desktop Services, the Desktop Engineering Manager will lead a team of Endpoint Administrators and Desktop Engineers to oversee all aspects of endpoint management operations. This includes daily support, strategic planning, and future-state implementation to ensure a stable, secure, and high-performing environment with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to drive innovative desktop solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of Endpoint Administrators and Desktop Engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
    • Manage team operations, ensuring effective prioritization and timely delivery of tasks and projects.
  • Endpoint Environment Ownership:
    • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint hardware, software, and operating systems across Windows OS and Mac OS.
    • Ensure endpoint environments are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategies for endpoint management, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to continuously enhance the desktop environment.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of endpoint processes.
    • Develop and enforce best practices, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:
    • Partner with IT and business teams to align desktop engineering initiatives with broader organizational goals.
    • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security policies, and organizational standards.
    • Conduct periodic system audits and access reviews to maintain secure and efficient endpoint environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline is preferred.• Prior IT management experience is required, including leading and mentoring technical teams.• 8 years of experience in Desktop Engineering or a related IT discipline, with responsibility for inventory management and hardware deployment for remote users.• 8 years of experience in oversight of account creation, system access audits, and in-depth knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.• Proven experience supporting a large environment comprised of Windows OSX and Mac OSX • Strong knowledge and support of Microsoft office applications• Prior experience creating and maintaining Active Directory user accounts and 0365 user mailboxes.• Prior experience providing remote user support. • Prior experience utilizing IT Ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and resolve incidents.• Prior experience managing and maintaining hardware and software asset management systems.• Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and critical thinker under pressure. • Organized, team oriented, with go getter attitude.• Strong understanding of ITIL, KPIs, and SLAs• Strong knowledge of IAM• Highly organized and the ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and demands.• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage with staff at all levels.• Collaborative approach and strong relationship building skills. • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $128,000 to $158,000 annually.
