The Opportunity…
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Field Operations and Optimisation, in your role as Deployment Optimisation Manager you’ll have end-to-end empowerment and responsibility for delivering results that help our customers and our company.
You’ll be empowered to make decisions and in turn empower your teams to do the same in order to deliver great customer outcomes, great employee experience and tangible value for the EDF Business Solutions (EBS) Core and Metering team.
You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the operational support functions within our metering team. This role encompasses planning, demand management, and capacity management to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of our operations.

What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for a driven and experienced leader to manage a team of Senior Schedulers and Schedulers, playing a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of all metering work. This role is central to supporting the objectives of our EBS Core, Metering, Field, and Optimisation strategies.
A strong focus of the position will be on continuously evolving and enhancing current scheduling processes and procedures. You’ll be responsible for identifying trends, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks, all with the aim of streamlining operations to improve both the employee and customer experience. Taking ownership of these improvements, you’ll lead the implementation of changes and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Developing and empowering the team is a key aspect of this role. You’ll work to maximise efficiencies and ensure the team can focus on their core responsibilities without unnecessary complexity. By introducing new practices, evolving ways of working, and applying detail-driven decision-making, you’ll help ensure each field-related workstream operates as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who can lead and develop a team with a key focus on driving excellent performance, personal accountability, employee wellbeing and continuous improvement.
You’ll have experience within a collaborative environment so you can ensure smooth delivery of activity in order to enhance the customer experience. You will provide regular reports on progress and maintain accurate and reliable data ensuring smooth delivery of all activities working to balance potentially conflicting business objectives.
You’ll have the ability to consistently achieve successful delivery against stretching personal and team targets and have experience in rolling out new process and systems, engaging users. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to translate requirements into practical deliverables and have resilience whilst working under pressure and flexible in approach to ensure deadlines are met.
