The Role:

The Dementia Care Specialists (DCS) Manager and Senior Consultant/Global Professional Instructor (GPI) is responsible for coordinating consulting projects, delivering onsite and offsite consulting services, preparing, teaching, and facilitating Dementia Capable Care (DCC) program/s in a high-quality manner while creating superior customer experience for training participants; and managing the DCS Sales team in participating in sales activities. This position will work closely with the DCS President to set a strategy for growing and acquiring new business.  In support of the DCS Mission, this position will also be responsible for writing, blogging, presenting at conferences, and assisting with business analytics and special projects. This role will be split into three areas where time will be allocated to DCS consulting, GPI consulting, and sales and sales management.

What You Get To Do Everyday:

  • Conduct special consultations, seminars, and presentations as scheduled.
  • Prepare business analytics and reports.
  • Develop and deliver consultation services for DCS clients, including creating and managing project plans and producing high-quality deliverables as required by the client.
  • Participate in sales presentations and meetings, including determining client needs and recommending DCS solutions.
  • Provide assigned training programs and facilitate ancillary programs and presentations.
  • Prepare and maintain training program materials.
  • Update bibliographies and suggest updates for current best practices and research.
  • Serve as a resource to assist clients through consultation and resource provisions.
  • Organize necessary GPI materials and resources.
  • Attend and participate in conferences as assigned.
  • Participate in tradeshows and present at seminars.
  • Participate in the development of products, training, and deliverables as requested.
  • Contribute to program development as needed.
  • Perform in sales activities, lead and manage DCS sales team, and lead initiatives.
  • Advise CPI training and executive staff of emerging trends and issues related to industries served.
  • Attend annual Staff Day and other professional development meetings and activities as required in the US corporate headquarters.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor team members in the functional area.
  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, physical therapy, or a related field or a combination of associate degree education and related work experience
  • Five years or more of experience managing in long-term care, assisted living, or homecare or in other related capacities in dementia/memory Care
  • Experience training and/or teaching adult learners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Current therapy or other health profession licensure in the state of practice
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Valid US passport
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent teambuilding skills with the ability to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities and authority effectively and to encourage individuals to decide how they will accomplish their goals and resolve issues
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, negotiation, writing, speaking, and listening skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability
