The opportunity
As a Data Scientist at our university, you'll promote student success through data-driven insights. Working within our analytics team, you'll report to the Director of Data Science and collaborate with student-facing staff, leadership, and business development teams to enhance both on-campus and online educational experiences. This role is remote friendly.

What you'll do:
- Develop predictive models and perform data analyses to address key business challenges in education
- Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams
- Apply machine learning techniques to improve our analytical tools and targeting strategies
- Integrate external data sources to enrich our datasets and enhance analytical capabilities
- Foster a data-driven culture through effective communication of insights and collaboration
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of experience within Data Science, Data Engineering/Computer Science.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, and Computer Science)
- Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages like Python, and SQL
- Experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world problems
- Experience communicating complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using data science to improve educational outcomes
Additional Experience with:
- Experience with generative AI product development in educational technology applications preferred.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $83,071.00 - $132,940.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $91,794.00 - $124,192.00.Exceptional benefits (because you’re exceptional)
