We are looking for an entry-level data scientist to join our growing team!
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be someone who loves getting to know a data set, is a curious and enthusiastic problem solver, and has excellent communication skills.
This data scientist will work within our engineering group to meet the needs of our analytics team and other internal stakeholders. Our engineering group builds system infrastructure and partners directly with our internal stakeholders to answer important client questions. Our data scientists bring data-driven clarity to the business visions of the healthcare experts in our client-facing teams.
This is a growth position, so we are looking for people who are eager to learn about new technologies and tools. Our engineering team is a collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes data analytics, data science, machine learning, data engineering, and software engineering.
This role can be remote in the US or in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston, or Chicago.
What you’ll do:
Effective collaboration with a remote team. Leverage Slack, Teams, email, and online video calls to be actively involved in our team, our work, and our internal customers.
Assist data analysts with analytics methodology in python notebooks and excel, as well as interpreting results for client work and capabilities development.
Partner with subject matter experts to acquire, curate, and leverage datasets. This work includes the review of potential data sets and exploratory data analysis.
Work closely with ML architects, solutions architects, data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to build and maintain internal data and software systems
Research and build prototypes of data analysis, data transformation, text analytics, NLP, and ML models

What you should have:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science / STEM or industry experience
Communication and consultation skills such as, breaking down complex ideas for non-engineers and explaining data analysis and collaborating to find what is important to the subject matter experts
Python experience - Building and using data frames for analysis (pandas, pySpark)
Database/SQL experience - Building queries for data analytics
Understanding core concepts of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Understanding core concepts of Machine Learning (ML)
Github for version control
Enthusiasm for researching and building prototypes, working in teams, data quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Databricks
Spark/pyspark
MLflow
Spark NLP or other NLP experience
Database design
Data visualization experience
Software engineering skills
Cloud platforms – AWS or GCP
Pay Range: $73,000.00 - $80,000.00
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
