The Role:

The Product Owner, Data, will define and deliver data products that meet the needs of our business users. This role will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate those requirements into technical specifications, and ensure the successful implementation of data solutions. The Product Owner, Data role will be pivotal in driving the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You Get To Do Everyday:

  • Evangelize, adapt, and apply Agile best practices to drive the delivery of high-quality data products.
  • Manage data as a product, ensuring it meets the needs of business users and aligns with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, understand their needs, and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Distill complex business problems into clear and actionable technical requirements.
  • Utilize SQL and Power BI to analyze data, create reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and user feedback.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data products through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data product management.
  • Assist with resolving tier 1 support tickets.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data science, or business or relevant work experience
  • Three years or more of work experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a data-focused role
  • Experience leading Agile teams
  • Experience working with Scrum and Agile Framework
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of SQL and Power BI
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-function team
  • Excellent business user-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently
  • Accountability for work produced
  • Positive attitude, high-energy
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

We'd Love to See:

  • Agile certification(s) (CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP, ACPMPO, POPM, CDMP)
  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification
  • Google Data Analytics Professional certification
