What you’ll do
We are seeking a seasoned and energetic Technical Lead to collaborate closely with our Data Engineers and Product Owner. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in data engineering, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record in developing data-driven solutions. You will be accountable for supervising the design, development, and upkeep of our data platform, ensuring the delivery of top-notch data products.
This role is a blend of software engineering leadership and business sensibility applied towards pushing our consulting business to the forefront of technical solutioning. You will propel technical solutions to enterprise maturity to advance our data platform for the firm.
This is a full time Director position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster collaboration and communication between engineering, product, and stakeholders across the firm from IT, client delivery, and corporate services. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of data requirements and priorities.
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, providing technical guidance and support:
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various data sources and systems.
- Implement best practices for data engineering, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Utilize technologies such as Python, Spark, Databricks, and Azure to build and optimize data workflows.
- Manage and optimize data storage solutions, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of data governance and data quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and drive continuous improvement within the team.

What you’ll need
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with big data technologies and frameworks.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Certification in data engineering or related fields.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineer roles.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering technologies, including Python, Spark, Databricks, and Azure.
- 5+ years of experience on technical leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $170,000/year - $400,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
