Job Description

Salary Range:

The expected starting pay range for this position is up to $160,000 yearly.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.

• Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in data governance or data management.
• Experience leading cross-functional data governance teams and strategies to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Experience driving data governance transformation, fostering data stewardship culture, and achieving measurable improvements in data quality and governance practices.
• Experience in advanced data governance concepts, data quality management, data stewardship, and data lineage tracking.
• Experience in implementing and managing data governance tools and technologies to support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of data profiling techniques, master data management, data cataloging, and metadata management.
• Experience configuring, using, and managing metadata management tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
• Experience using Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Blob Storage).
• Experience with configuring and maintaining enterprise metadata templates (e.g., data dictionaries, business glossaries, metrics/KPI glossaries).
• Experience establishing methods to comply with data privacy regulations and industry compliance standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA.
• Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating requirements into technical specifications for product teams.
• Experience working in an Agile environment – working as a part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.
• Experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, with a focus on leading data governance projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across complex data landscapes.
• Experience in data quality assessment, data remediation strategies, and data governance maturity assessments.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree
• (Recommended but not required) Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification.

Clearance:

• US Citizenship
• Active Public Trust clearance or have the ability to obtain one
