We are in search of a qualified and resourceful Data Entry Specialist to join our Employee Services team and support the HR Service Center group in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.

 

This temp to perm opportunity is either a hybrid or remote position. The ideal candidate will reside near one of the following HII offices in Bremerton, Washington; Huntsville, Alabama; Fairfax, VA or Newport News/Virginia Beach, VA, requiring an average of one day per week in an office and the remainder working remotely from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High volume, timeline driven data entry of employee transactions in the human capital management system and company financial system
  • Responsible for ensuring HR transactions are entered and tracked according to policy and guideline; maintain supporting documentation electronically 
  • Supporting and providing customer service for centralized HR programs such as Military Pay Differentials, PTO Donation Requests and backup support for all other HR Services functions, including Leave Administration, ADA Accommodations tracking and Education Assistance processing
  • Respond to data requests in support of internal and external regulatory audits
  • Support HRIS system and process upgrades and improvements through testing and process documentation
  • Support the overall HR&A organization with file maintenance and other administrative HR related duties, as needed, to include but not be limited to, filing, shredding, making copies, processing correspondences as requested, processing background and education verification checks
  • Participate in HR initiatives and projects as needed

What you need to have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience performing data management or similar employee file management
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and customer service is required
  • Candidate must have proficiency with MS Office and have proven communication and organizational skills

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Costpoint and SAP Successfactors a plus
