Job Description

As Data Engineer, you will apply your expertise in data and analytics to power customer experiences and journeys across channels. You will be accountable for the design and govern the data model within the Customer Data Platform (CDP) that supports our client requirements. You will configure integrations within the platform, within budget, and in compliance with our client's standards. You will display expertise and present platform specific best practices and options. You will work in a matrixed environment from project launch to completion.

Responsibilities

  • You will collect our client data requirements based on prioritized use cases.
  • You will identify data needs from our partners and design efficient and scalable data solutions to allow personalization at scale.
  • You will build designs and present solutions for data collection, management, and processing.
  • You will present options concerning methods for collecting data for identity resolution, consumer journey and experience and analytics.
  • You will write optimized data transformations in SQL/Python to produce services consumed by partners such as Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Analytics, BI and ML/AI teams.
  • You will develop datasets, pipelines, and client CDPs to ensure advanced segmentation, targeting, automation and analytics.
  • You will improve SLA's of important data pipelines to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • You will facilitate data integration and transformation requirements for moving data between applications.
  • You will ensure interoperability of applications within our client platform(s) with CDP at the core.
  • You will improve the current data architecture, data quality, monitoring, and data availability.
  • You will analyze and communicate feasibility of use cases based on available data which involves evaluating large amounts of existing data sets, data availability, quality, and design solutions that can scale.
  • You will create and secure client approval on the data solution, required transformations, throughputs, and integrations with end point platforms.
  • You will consider points of failure and options to mitigate risks.
  • You will design considering our client's existing data models to enrich measurement and customer journeys.
  • You will build custom solutions to ingest data into platform such as Adobe or Google.
  • You will build data consumption layers and keep supporting specifications updated and current.
  • You will configure integrations, including martech, ad tech, and optimization platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta API, Adobe Target, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CRM Solutions, Adobe Campaign, and Marketo.
  • You will deploy final solutions to production and provide ongoing support of the solutions.
  • You will diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to data consumption and delivery, including profile collapse.
  • You will maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance of audit and privacy requirements.
  • You will stay on top of the latest data engineering trends and software for customer-centric digital experience personalization.
  • You will stay informed about industry technology innovations, new business practices, and third-party technology solutions.
  • You will report to the CDP, Delivery Lead.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable experience
  • 3+ years in data management with focus on streaming/digital data
  • Adobe Experience Platform Certification
  • Hands-on practical experience using SQL, Python, API Development
  • Knowledge of digital data collection methods (e.g. Data Collections, JavaScript, Data Layers)
  • Conceptualize and communicate detailed technical concepts to all audiences
  • Work in a matrixed environment across Strategy, Business, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, Finance, and Customer Success
  • Experience with:
  • Data design and architecture
  • XDM & Mix-Ins o Relational database concepts
  • Data management, segmentation ETL best practices
  • Scripting and query development

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $94,000k-$152,375k. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Our incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
