Data Analyst

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Business Operations team at TextUs. Your primary role will be working closely with the Business Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to maintain clean, organized data, specifically within our data warehouse. You will collaborate across departments to ensure our data processes empower leaders with actionable insights and enable the company to make strategic, data-driven decisions. In this role, you will explore and organize various internal data sources, identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and accessibility, and answer critical business questions. You’ll help shape how we leverage data to optimize performance and strategy at all levels of the organization.

This is a very low ego - highly collaborative team. You will be expected to share your thoughts and opinions - if you think there is a better way to accomplish something, we want to know.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Business Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to maintain clean, organized data within the data warehouse and ensure data accuracy.
• Build dashboards and automated reports to provide actionable insights and streamline decision-making for business teams.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data workflows, reporting, and efficiency across business operations.
• Prepare, clean, and transform data for analysis, ensuring usability and reliability for stakeholders.

WHO YOU ARE

• You like figuring out the “why” of a request and giving recommendations instead of just answering the technical ask and moving on.
• You are comfortable asking a teammate for help and like to learn. A key aspect to this role is the need to keep learning and trying new things.
• 1+ years of experience in a role with strong communication requirements.
• SQL proficiency (1+ years) OR basic SQL proficiency paired with scripting experience in an object oriented language. Education, boot camps, or certification(s) can be considered alongside work experience. 
• SFDC proficiency, (1+ years). SFDC Admin certification is a plus. 
• Data visualization or dashboard building experience.
• Understand the fundamentals of data handling - joining data, checking for outliers/data quality issues, handling null values, etc.
