This is a remote work position, but candidate may choose to work at ICJIA’s downtown Chicago office during the agency’s regular business hours Monday thru Friday (8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.) pending availability.

This is a full-time position. The selected candidate must work 37.5 hours per week. The selected candidate will start as soon as possible.

This position is TEMPORARY and does NOT include state benefits.

The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) is seeking a fully remote data analyst to help build their pipeline for the program Justice Counts.

 

ICJIA is participating in the national; program Justice Counts, initiated by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (SEE THE JUSTICE COUNTS WEBSITE). The goal of the program is to collect and disseminate criminal justice metrics and indicators. The scope of the project contains prisons, law enforcement, courts. Supervision and more. ICJIA is looking for a Data Analyst to help build the ETL pipeline that transfers data from various agencies to aggregate dashboards on our website.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business Intelligence, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Criminology, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in data analytics, BI intelligence, or quantitative research.
  • One year of experience in Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in data analytics.
  • Three years of experience with R or Python.
  • Two years of experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Two years of experience working with and creating automated ETL pipelines.
  • Experience writing technical briefs.
