Cyber Security Analyst

Position Summary:
IEM is looking for a Full-Time- Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT team at IEM. They will manage and continuously improve IEM’s Cyber Security infrastructure.
Primary Location:
- Candidate must live a commutable distance to Baton Rouge, LA.
- Position will be a Remote and In Office role making it a Hybrid work schedule
- In office days will be based on business needs and could range between 1 – 5 days a week
- All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
Travel Requirements:
- Yes, up to 25% of the time
Essential Functions:
- Actively monitor systems and networks for potential intrusions
- Lead, conduct, and maintain security risk assessments, identify security vulnerabilities, develop recommendations, document findings and remediation plans
- Manage remediation plans toward closure
- Define security standards & incident response plans to detect, respond and recover from security incidents using a risk-based methodology
- Develop and document security policies and procedures, training and awareness
- Serve as a security expert reviewing and recommending security controls for network, application designs, operating systems, endpoint protection, mobile device implementations of new/updated applications and services
- Ensure business and technical requirements are aligned to security policies and are implemented within an allotted time frame to meet compliance
- Maintain current knowledge of tools and best practices in advanced persistent threats; tools, techniques, and procedures of attackers; related to forensics and incident response
Current Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience in performing security business application and infrastructure compliance reviews, risk analysis, forensics and penetration testing
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex security issues to a variety of audiences, including senior executives
- Must be self-directed, able to manage individual projects and/or act as part of a larger team
Minimal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in security-related work.
- CompTIA Security+
