Hourly base pay rate is $17.40 - $26.06/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Dealertrack is hiring for a Customer Care Specialist II to join our outbound call center remotely.

  • Shift Time: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm EST
  • Some overtime available

Your Role:

Under general supervision, the primary functions of the Customer Care Specialist II could include the following:

  • Replying to email messages, faxes, and service tickets.
  • Engaging customers and determine how to assist them.
  • Responding to inquiries on vehicle titling and registration processes for various dealers, state motor vehicle agencies, customers, and clients.
  • Making outbound calls to dealers and state motor vehicle agencies (DMVs) to obtain vehicle title status.
  • Using company proprietary software for research, data entry, and account follow-up activity.
  • Following instructions and maintain workflow standards.
  • Attaining production and quality goals.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field; OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field 
  • One year of experience in a customer service position
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of how to operate a PC, telephone, fax, scanner and photocopier.
  • Intermediate knowledge of PC software applications (such as, MS Office, Excel and Outlook).
  • Data entry skills
  • Ability to type 35 WPM or greater at 99.6% accuracy

What We Look For (Preferred):

  • Knowledge of client requirements for DMV and related documents
  • Knowledge of various state DMV forms and their usage by the company
  • Knowledge of company proprietary software
  • Knowledge of state abbreviations

Workplace Environment:

  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive production work.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens that may lead to eyestrain.
  • Ability to work a variable shift  

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
