The Curriculum Developer, Healthcare, Undergraduate Nursing (Part Time) collaborates with the larger Content and Curriculum teams to develop products utilized in testing, content remediation, and presentations. This individual possesses a strong foundation in nursing knowledge and practice and has excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 

Primary/Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, creates, edits, evaluates, manipulates, and maintains content using multiple platforms for use in various learning products.
  • Responsible for other project based activities as determined by the Content and Curriculum Team (e.g., tracking, training, meeting). Collaborates with other healthcare teams to review and update nursing content to reflect current research, best practices, and industry standards. 
  • Actively pursues opportunities to continue to learn best practices in product development through research, professional development, and other learning opportunities (e.g., concept-based teaching in nursing).  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing or higher required    
  • 4+ years of nursing education experience; 1 year simulation experience desired
  • Active, unencumbered nursing license
  • Excellent computer (Microsoft office & Google Suite) skills. 
  • Bring your own devices (computer, internet, printer, etc.). 
  • Must have a strong foundation in nursing knowledge and practice and possess basic test item writing skills and an understanding of curriculum development.
  • Knowledge of NCSBN NCLEX, nursing education, curriculum, assessment, and instruction. 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Able to analyze information to ensure content accuracy.
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to collaborate and communicate with other members of a team and meet deadlines as assigned. 
  • Able to implement policies and standard operating procedures as applicable, and adhere to established style guides and formatting guidelines.
  • Familiar with content management systems, the use of artificial intelligence, and other relevant technologies. 
  • Able to prioritize work assigned and demonstrate time management, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Ability to provide leadership and to supervise the planning, development and establishment of new, modified and/or improved projects. Including goal setting, research, data analysis, promotion, scoping, and independently prioritizing toward a deadline.

The salary rate for this position is between $35.00 to $42.00 per hour.
