Required Certificates and Licenses: Active Texas Teaching CertificateResidency Requirements: TEXASThe REMOTE Curriculum Coordinator that is Title 1 funded, plans and coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades 3-12 as well as generally oversees the development, implementation and assessment of teacher developed customized lessons, activities, assessments and tools for these grades.

This position offers a base salary of around $53,000. This position is an immediate start within SY 24/25.The mission of Texas Virtual Academy of Hallsville (TVAH) schools is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model. This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time.

Coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades 3-12; Monitors the implementation and evaluation of these objectives;
Plans and oversees teacher development and implementation of customized lessons, activities, assessments and tools for these grades including special populations; Evaluates effectiveness of the material;
Coordinates the process for selection of textbooks, equipment and instructional supplies for curriculum;
Mentors/acts as a resource to teachers by providing expertise and ongoing support; Conducts curriculum meetings as required;
Helps manage/advise on the curriculum budget;
Attends curriculum and other professional conferences.
REQUIRED QUALFICIATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree OR
Three (3) year of teaching experience OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Ability to clear required background check.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of state standards
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience developing curriculum and assessment
Project management experience
Experience teaching or leading in an online setting
